Set of six Invisible Ink comic cartoon postcards, released in 1906 as a premium for the The American Journal Examiner. Each card features a comical situation that uses the disappearing ink figures as the punchline. The cards were originally intended to be slowly heated with a flame in order to reveal the full picture. These promotional cards were released through the publication and feature many well known comic strips of the time. This set includes:

Each card is in good shape and condition for its age. There are issues such as foxing and edge deterioration, however, these issues do not obstruct the central image on each card. Originally, readers cut these out themselves, accounting for the uneven edges. The backs of the cards are range from blank to filled out.
